Unfortunately, SSBB came out on the Wii, which means the online play, or WiiFi which isn't the most stellar online play. There is also co-op in “Adventure Mode” and there are special events for co-op play. You can set up 32 man tournaments (4 people per game) and have them duke it out until there’s a winner. The multiplayer aspect of Brawl is great. Campaign picks back up later on with more action and a lot more excitement, making campaign easily rival Halo 3’s (if Halo was a platform game). Ar ound the six hour mark the game becomes somewhat repetitive because you’ve unlocked most of the characters by then. The campaign is highly entertaining, but quite lengthy. Without revealing too much of the storyline, Nintendo has done a great job of incorporating the characters into “Adventure Mode” and providing a thrilling experience for the player. Super Smash Brothers veterans could probably beat the game in 6-7 hours on the normal difficulty, but for the average player it takes from 10-12 hours to beat the adventure mode. Brawl has become an early favorite for Game of the Year. The new and improved game engine really boosted the graphics and light, and to say the least it’s awesome. Some of the characters from the Mario franchise are featured in this game, including Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi. The game features different storylines that vary depending on the character you play. In Brawl, the objective is to battle the Ancient Minister and his evil minions, the Primid, to prevent the bad guys from invading Subspace. Cut-scenes are interspersed between levels to explain the plot. The side-scrolling gameplay in this mode is similar to that of the Mario Bros games for the original Nintendo. Super Smash Bros Brawl contains a unique solo story mode called the Subspace Emissary. Players can also practice their moves against the computer to build skill they can then use to defeat other players and characters. When game milestones are hit, players can summon assist trophies and poke balls to help them. All characters can also use projectiles and melee weapons. Each character has four unique moves that they can use to defeat the others. The goal in fighting mode is to knock opponents off of the screen. Super Smash Bros is most famous for its classic fighting mode that allows up to four characters to battle each other. This makes it great for both group- and single-play entertainment. This game, which is mainly comprised of two-dimensional fighting action, allows you to play with up to three other players or go on a solo adventure. Gamers can choose to play as their favorite Nintendo characters, including Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Mega Man, Zelda, Mario, and 30 other classic characters. It is the first of the series to become available to play on the Nintendo Wii console. Released in 2008, this the third installment of the highly successful Super Smash Bros franchise.
